Our Services

Condition and Valuation Survey:

When our customer obtains a new insurance policy or renews an existing policy, we will thoroughly survey and report for the underwriters regarding the condition and valuation of the vessel. This survey can be performed as the vessel lays moored to the dock, in progression while the vessel is re-fit and upgraded, or as the vessel has been hauled out onto a dry dock for bottom maintenance. We perform C/V Surveys on a wide variety of vessels, including but not limited to yachts, small pleasure craft, sail boats, commercial towing vessels, commercial fishing vessels, factory and processing vessels, ships, oilfield drilling rigs, and research vessels, etc.


Pre-Purchase Survey:

When our customers buy or sell a vessel, we will thoroughly survey and report for the customer regarding the valuation of the vessel in terms appropriate with the National Association of Marine Surveyors and the American Society of Appraisers. We perform Purchase Surveys on a wide variety of vessels, including but not limited to yachts, small pleasure craft, sail boats, cruise ships, commercial towing vessels, commercial fishing vessels, factory and processing vessels, ships, and research vessels, etc.


Hull and Machinery Damage:

When our customers suffer a maritime loss, we will attend and survey the damaged vessel or equipment, monitor repair work, determine the probable cause of loss including witness statements as necessary, and prepare a report for the owners and/ or interested underwriters regarding covered losses and the related expenses. We understand that owners may perform unrelated maintenance while the vessel or machinery is being repaired, and will itemize the invoices appropriate for the underwriter's policy. We perform Hull and Machinery Damage surveys on a wide variety of vessels, including but not limited to charter boats, ferries, yachts, small pleasure craft, sail boats, cruise ships, commercial towing vessels, commercial fishing vessels, factory and processing vessels, ships, research vessels, barge mounted marine cranes, waterfront facility equipment, etc and all machinery related to the navigation, propulsion, operation, or profession of the listed vessels.


On and Off Charter:

When our customers are preparing to hire a vessel, we will attend and survey the condition of the vessel prior to commencement of the charter. We will provide detailed documentation of any preexisting deficiencies or damage to the vessel and any related equipment. We will also be available to survey the condition of the vessel and related equipment upon completion of the charter period, to again provide documentation of deficiencies or damage related to the employment operations. We perform On and Off Charter surveys on a wide variety of vessels, including but not limited to cruise ships, deck barges, construction barges, dump scows, research vessels, ships, and container ships, et cetera.


Trip in Tow:

When our customers are preparing a vessel for tow, we will confer with the vessel owner and either prepare or assist in preparing a towing plan. We will then attend a survey of the vessel for sea worthiness and inspect the towing arrangements for suitability, durability and contingent emergency capability for the proposed Tip in Tow. We perform Trip in Tow surveys on a wide variety of vessels, including but not limited to small pleasure craft, sail boats, yachts, cruise ships, deck barges, commercial fishing vessels, and research vessels, etc.


Lash and Load:

When our customers are preparing to transport equipment or materials by ship or deck barge, we will attend and survey the vessel for sea worthiness and inspect the lashing techniques for durability for the planned voyage. We will monitor the progress of the voyage and provide advice related to weather conditions and the corresponding sea state. We perform Lash and Load surveys for a wide variety of voyages and equipment, and have 100% success rates for safe arrival at destinations around the world.


Risk Analysis:

When our customers have identified a shore side facility for storage or repair work of their vessel, we will provide a comprehensive analysis of the risk mitigation policies and response components of the facility. We perform Risk Analysis surveys on a wide variety of facilities, including but not limited to locks, docks, piers, bridges, and shore side facilities such as shipyards, dry-docks, and cargo terminals, et cetera.


Marine Construction or Demolition:

When our customers build or scrap a vessel, we will attend and survey the vessel with progress reports to the vessel owners, underwriters, or financial institutions as milestones of the project are achieved. We perform Construction/ Demolition surveys on a wide variety of vessels, including but not limited to small pleasure craft, yachts, pilot boats, utility boats, charter vessels, cruise ships, barges, commercial fishing vessels, commercial factory and processing vessels, barges, and research vessels, etc.


Salvage Operation Oversight:

When our customers suffer the capsizing, sinking, or grounding of their vessel, we will attend and survey the condition of the vessel and related cargo. We will offer recommendations and oversight of salvage operations, identify interested parties related to cargo loss, and report to principal stakeholders or underwriters with interest in the cargo or vessel loss. We perform Salvage Operation Oversight on a wide variety of vessels, including small pleasure craft, sail boats, cruise ships, commercial fishing vessels, commercial factory and processing vessels, research vessels, deck barges, and various capacity marine transportation vessels, etc.
